My Great-Grandfather Henry Clay Warmoth was born in Brandenburg Kentucky in 1844. I know little about him until he appears as a Corporal in the 5th Ohio Cavalry, Company G during the Civil War. His unit served under Sherman during his "Famous" or "Infamous" (Depending on which side you were on) March to the Sea. One of the interesting facts about this unit is that it lost so many horses that it finished the war on foot as infantry. He was mustered out on 30 October 1865 in Charlotte N.C..
